About the role
We’re looking for a Cloud Engineer who’s passionate about designing and managing scalable, secure cloud environments — with a particular focus on the Alibaba Cloud (AliCloud) platform.
At DBTek, you’ll help clients build efficient, cloud‑native solutions that support their digital transformation goals.
You’ll collaborate closely with our software engineers and DevOps specialists to architect, deploy, and optimize cloud infrastructure that’s both high‑performing and cost‑effective.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Alibaba Cloud (ECS, VPC, RDS, OSS, ACK, etc.)
- Automate provisioning and deployments using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AliCloud Resource Orchestration Service (ROS)
- Monitor cloud systems for performance, security, and cost optimization
- Support application teams in building scalable, reliable architectures for production workloads
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and propose long‑term improvements
- Stay up to date with the latest AliCloud services and best practices
- Deliver training and/or skill-up sessions to internal and external clients
Must Have
- Proven experience working with Alibaba Cloud (AliCloud) services
- Hands-on experience with AliCloud networking (VPC, SLB, NAT gateway, VPN, DNS, etc.)
- Awareness of cloud security fundamentals and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a collaborative mindset
- Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles and infrastructure as code
- Good written and spoken English
Nice to have
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and configuration management tools
- Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Experience managing containerized workloads using Docker and AliCloud Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK)
- Knowledge of database services on AliCloud (ApsaraDB for RDS, PolarDB, Redis, etc.)
- Understanding of cost management and resource optimization on AliCloud
- Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud integrations involving AliCloud and other major platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
